The Wheel of the Year in 5 Phases
In Traditional East Asian Medicine, the world can be viewed from the 5 Phases of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. The 5 Phases (Elements) are a representation of the natural forces at work in both the macrocosm and microcosm of our lives. They are part of the whole and in relationship with one another. Each Element corresponds to a season, color, flavor, sound, scent, meridians, and organs.
Please note that acupoints and organs listed here refer to the Energetic nature of the organ system, rather than the physical structure. These recommendations are not meant to be regarded as medical advice or diagnosis. Always consult your healthcare practitioner for diagnosis and treatment of symptoms you are experiencing.
