We are nothing without you.
Make a donation.
We never turn anyone away for lack of funds. All donations will go toward operating costs (rent, materials, and staffing) so we can make that happen.
Follow our journey.
Whatever is coming up for you today/this week/this year....please remember to hold yourself with compassion. As activists, we continue to divest from systems of harm and invest in webs of care.
We are doing that this week and every week at DayDream ❤️

Preparing for our Care Tools for Organizers Training next week and feeling very excited about acupressure! Here are two points that you can use at home. Try it and report back 💫
Kidney 27 & Kidney 1 are the beginning and end of the Kidney Channel points on the body. Paired together, they can leave us feeling supported, held, and nourished. We want that for you!
For maximum benefit, add a foot soak with herbs while holding KD27 and take deep breaths. Imagine being surrounded by an evergreen forest.
One of the beautiful things about living with the seasons is not having to rush through any of it - there is still a lot of Winter/Water energy to savor before we transition to Spring
Here are some practices that are potent in the cold and dark months....because soon we will be heading outdoors with the plants waking up
❄ Rest practices - noise cancelling headphones or very quiet spaces to rest our ears, naps, yoga nidra, restorative yoga, sound baths and meditative music
❄ Hydration - drink water (try it warm), herbal baths, foot soaks, & hydrosols for the skin
❄ Free flow - Unstructured time so our imaginations and dreams flourish as we allow ourselves to drift
❄ Art - Meditative artmaking with watercolors, paints, and coloring books, sewing, poetry, ceramics
❄ Intergenerational healing - Connecting to our deep reserves of knowledge by making space for contemplation and communion with our guides and ancestors
Water is not a passive thing, it is a living force.
We love to drink our teas, take our baths, and enjoy our flower essences. Are we also taking time to be with the waters around us?
To give our prayers and attention to the water is a radical act of remembering. We are not separate and the natural world is so much more than something we can bottle or control. It is awe inspiring if we notice.
This week we are so excited to have 3 of our Medicine Folk mentorship supporting you - Amy, Luisa, and Amber!!! They are 3/4 of the way through our year together and bring a wealth of knowledge through diverse backgrounds in: herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, auricular acupuncture, & sound healing... (and now they are viewing all these skills through the 5 element lens 💫)

An array of 'new to me' items from our clothing swap yesterday.
This gathering, hosted by @callme.maritza & @kirsten_nunez was a fun and colorful way to spend time with our neighbors
It was also a deeply healing space to remember some things like:
❤️we have enough stuff
❤️we can share resources
❤️gathering together in joy and creativity is way more nourishing than shopping online
❤️gift economies are possible
We exchanged items and stories and time.
A huge bag of items was delivered to Hudson organizers to be mailed out to LA. We also donated clothing and books locally.
Another world is possible. We are building it together.
If you are out on the town enjoying your clothing and books form the swap - share the joy and tag the organizers. Thanks for the pic and the help cleaning up @whydoyouhavesomanynames
Amazing session with our mentorship crew!
We practiced restorative propping, drank Hawthorne ginger tea, learned about cupping, and had a lesson on anti-fat bias with @amierose88 ❤️🔥❤️
Everyone went home with some cups to practice, warm hearts, and a deep appreciation for the work of deconstructing implicit bias.
Another great day to learn and unlearn.
Protect your neck lesson 2: medicinal teas!
Here we have some @griffobotanicals 'Base camp' - a traditional blend for building immunity with a host of mushrooms and elderberry to enhance these effects and strengthen the lungs.
Enjoy each teabag a few times with the help of these high tech teacups we found at @solstadhouse
Pick up some Base camp or any Griffo teas at any community clinic (tonight 4-7) and make sure you get our newsletter for announcements like upcoming herbal consults with @amywhiteeyes
We also have tinctures by @goodfightherbco , as well as fire cider, elderberry syrup, etc.
Babushka says drink your herbs!
Settling into January with lots of moxa and table warmers on high heat 🔥

Creativity is medicine for the Water Element // Winter Season 💫
dance, paint, sing, draw, play music, write poems or just let your imagination rest in stillness
(we do not actually recommend anything like what you see in this photo - this is just inspiration and a singular act of teenage rebellion) SERIOUSLY DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME ⛄ 🩰 ☠️
