Care Tools for Organizers Training

Support yourself and your community as we dream new worlds together

Care Tools for Organizers Training is a two day, 20 hour training that is a micro version of our year long mentorship program. This course is created to support those of us doing care work and organizing through difficult times. This is a wonderful opportunity for activists, teachers, yoga instructors, bodyworkers, healthcare providers, and anyone that is providing care for others while simultaneously experiencing the stresses of our current political and ecological realities.

Over our weekend together, and then through supervised practice hours - participants will walk away with 3 distinct skills for working with others in group settings:

  1. Yoga Nidra meditation instruction

  2. Acupressure Seeds & Beads for ears and body acupoints

  3. Tuning forks applied to body points for relaxation

No prior experience or special certification required for any of these. All of the skills can be utilized either ‘hands on’ or ‘hands off’ depending on what is needed and within your scope of practice.

Time commitment is 2 weekend days (Sat Jan 25th and Sun Jan 26th 10-5) and then 6 hours of clinical supervision to be completed in February and March. Supervised clinical hours will be held at DayDream - offering free guided meditation and acupressure to the community. For your ‘final project’, you will submit a recored meditation and receive feedback.

Cost is $275 for the program and includes Seeds/Beads to take home, supervision, and PDF manual. 9 spots total, 1 scholarship spot. No CEUs or accreditations on this one, but you will be joining the extended DayDream Team and will have the opportunity to practice in the space at the successful completion of your clinical hours and final project.
