Naloxone (NARCAN) training will help you recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone.

This free event is beneficial for businesses, organizations, educators, faith groups, government and health care professionals, parents, caregivers, and all community members.

In our time together, Juan will cover:

• Signs of an opioid overdose

• How to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone

• Current strategies in the harm reduction field, including how to test for fentanyl

• The radical history of harm reduction in NY- starting in the 1970’s with the Black Panthers and Young Lords takeover of Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx as a community space for the holistic treatment of opioid withdrawal

  This important training is for all community members and includes a free Narcan kit
