We want you to get the care you deserve.
Creating a new ‘wellness culture’ Another element of non hierarchical healing is that our clinic blurs the distincitin between those that need care and those that provide care. We assume, by virtue of being human - you are in need of care. All practitioners receive care as participants and all participants have the opportunity to receive training in holistic health practices so that they can care for themselves and their friends/families.
Creating new opportunities for practitioners in healing arts to work in ways that are in line with collective care values:
All of our services are meant for group healings, so participants seeking one on one services receive a list of low cost resources and a list of practitioners in the area that are part of our network (local practitioners can support the clinic with donations of time or money). If
Harm Reduction Intergenerational cycles of violence, abuse, and systemic systems of oppression affect everyone, but we are not all equally impacted. Experiencing trauma is not the same as having PTSD, and we recognize that the effects of harm are on a spectrum, influened by many facotrs - both environmental and personal.
We are all recovering from something. We can define oursleves as having addictions or being in recovery, but we refrain from labelng others. Recovery is a personal process, and the details of that experience vary widely. As factiiltators of care, we support the individual choice to define their own path.
most harmed by trauma and addiction, and those most vulnerable to repeating the cycle. Honoring their lived experience in a world of of heteronormative patriarchal capitalist colonialism and white supremacy.
Non hierarchical healing
Our practitioners are not the authority on what defines healing. Although healing does occur, the practitioner is in service to the participant through the care they provide, without an expectation of outcome. This is in line with the Harm Reduction Model - where we don’t expect everyone to ‘recover’ from addiction as defined by becoming abstinent, but rather we strive to save lives by meeting people where they are and making their practices as safe as possible.
Our Business Model
Transforming holistic care
Recognizing that when we offer acts of care we are healing in tandem with the recipient of care. Paying it forward. What is beneficial for the community is beneficial for the individual. This can begin to heal gaps in racial, political, wealth, and health in communities that are suffering from the effects of gentrification, pandemic isolation, and other division.
Beehive model - individuals define themselves by the group, external immune system - propolis this could look like climate care, stronger communities, collective care and joy, preventative medicine. Imagining healthier communities and creating sustainable models of care is the work of the moment.
Redefining wellness
It’s essential for us that our clients get personalized suggestions on who from our team is the best match. Rather than do things the typical way, we’ve created a system designed around our patients’ needs.
