The hankie project
Tears happen. Let’s normalize crying in public. Let’s remember that public grief rituals are an important part of the human experience. There is a lot happening in the world to cry about. Tears release stuck emotion. We laugh until we cry. We cry tears of joy. Tears are salty. Our bodies are composed of about 60% water. Glaciers are melting. Sea levels are rising.
YOUR TEARS ARE AN OFFERING OF WATER TO A WORLD THAT IS ON FIRE
The hankie project is a part of our Medicine Folk Mentorship Program. This project represents the intersection of sustainability, herbal medicine, cross cultural relationship with plants, honoring the wheel of the year, 5 element theory, and meditative practice. Throughout the year, we will be making hankerchiefs and inspirational messages to catch our tears and hold our hearts. Our tears are a personal and collective grief response.
Hankies are $10 - all proceeds will go toward scholarship options for future students at DayDream.
