Christina Noyes

they/them

Christina is a Queer nonbinary educator and herbalist passionate about supporting their communities in creating alternate realities for our world. They especially love working with young people. From giving herb offerings to fairy villages to facilitating critical conversations about systemic racism & concepts of land ownership, they are skilled at creating supportive spaces to think critically about the world we've created and how we could continue to build something different.

For the past 10 years, Christina has worked as an elementary educator. They have their Master’s Degree in Teaching from Relay University. They most recently worked as a 4th/5th grade teacher at the Randolph School in Wappingers Falls, where they discovered their love of doing herbalism with kids. They have also worked as a curriculum writer, literacy interventionist, and restorative practices coordinator.

Christina is also a trained Circle Keeper, experienced facilitator, and practicing herbalist. They have four years of herbalism experience under the mentorship of Anne Dunlap of FierceRev Remedies and are also an apprentice of Hannah Smith Schiller of Foliage Botanicals. As a white person drawn to herbalism through racial justice organizing, they work to incorporate antiracist and anticolonial principles into their practice. They have trained with the International Institute for Restorative Practices, Courageous Conversation, and The Groundwater Foundation. They have facilitated at national education conferences and lead numerous community skillshares. Christina works to combine all of these experiences to support their communities in rebuilding nurturing and sustainable relationships with plants, the land, and each other.
